Position Summary
A Paint & Body Technician fixes cars after they have been damaged in an accident or other incident. They use a wide array of tools to fill holes, repair scratches, dents and dings, and to repair the car be to its state before it was damaged.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Prepares cost estimates.
* Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
* Applies new finish to restored body parts
* Repairs or patches dents, dimples and other minor body damage
* Sands, buffs and primes refurbished and repaired surfaces
* Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
* Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Strong verbal communication skills.
* Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Experienced auto body repair and refinishing preferred

* Ability to read and analyze professional and/or technical data and technical procedures
* Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages and fractions.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
* Ability to work Days, Nights, Holidays and Weekends
