Our businesses have a singular focus: provide premium automotive parts and services at a great value. The businesses of Icahn Automotive today consist of Pep Boys® automotive aftermarket retail and service chain, Auto Plus® automotive aftermarket parts distributor, Precision Tune Auto Care® owned and franchised automotive service centers, and AAMCO Total Auto Care franchised service centers. The businesses of Icahn Automotive total over 22,000 employees, over 2,000 company-owned and franchise locations and 25 distribution centers throughout the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
This is a high profile assignment directly supporting the AVP of Financial Reporting and will provide an opportunity for a diverse workflow mix, as well as an opportunity to join a team being built from the ground up.
Responsibilities:

* Coordination and ownership of the monthly consolidation process and preparation of consolidating financial statements for various external stakeholders
* Preparation and ownership of the quarterly reporting package and submission process (for parent company public filings)
* Assist with the coordination and administration of various external audits
* Research on a variety of technical accounting matters under US GAAP
* Assistance with the implementation of new accounting standards
* Drive continuous process improvement in all areas of responsibility
Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting required; MBA/Masters degree in Finance/Accounting a plus
* CPA license required
* Minimum 4 to 5 years of related experience including several years in Public Accounting (Big Four a plus)
* Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
* Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Familiarity with general ledger applications, and experience in full cycle of accounting close
* SAP experience is a plus (Accounting/ERP, BPC/EPM tool, BO business intelligence/Analysis tool
