Job Description

Position Summary
This position is responsible for the Company's tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income taxes.

Duties & Responsibilities
v Ensure proper design, operation and maintenance of SOX controls, including updates to tax-related SOX 404 documentation, control design, control testing, and remediation efforts.
v Responsible for tax planning and documentation of tax positions reached, including research and writing of memorandums.
v Ensure proper application of accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) and other accounting pronouncements (e.g. FIN 48, etc...), including calculations and disclosures.
v Liaison with external auditors regarding income tax reporting matters.
v Liaison with internal accounting department regarding gathering data needed for the tax provision and tax return process, as well as to address changes in the business and their impact on the tax position of the company
v Participate in due diligence and/or related supporting activities for mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions.
v Oversee all domestic and foreign aspects required for the timely and accurate preparation and filing of all federal income tax returns included within the U.S. consolidated income tax return prepared by co-source provider.
v Oversee examinations by tax authorities and resolve disagreements
v Oversee indirect tax function including sales and use, property tax and licensing
v Identify tax savings opportunities throughout the tax return process.
v Manage a departmental staff of twelve professionals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
v Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Related Field.
v Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Related Field.
v CPA preferred.
v 10+ Years of experience in corporate tax environment. Public company experience preferred.
v Highly organized and able to prioritize and manage time efficiently with the ability to handle stress in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
v Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills
v Ability to work under tight time constraints, handle sensitive data and multi-task so that deadlines can be met.
