Position Summary:
The Sales Trainer is responsible for the planning, scheduling, delivery, documentation and maximizing
attendance at sales training for an assigned group of Pep Boys associates. Each SalesTrainer will do this
by supporting a specific number of Pep Boys store locations with Instructor-Led Training (ILT). The Sales
Trainer will be a key driver in the ongoing development of a customer-friendly, solutions-oriented sales
culture at Pep Boys.
Duties & Responsibilities

* Expected to improve the profitability of Pep Boys by designing and implementing training solutions aimed at improving our customer’s experience in the service portion of our business, and by promoting a safe and accident free work environment.
* Responsible for providing support to the field operations teams in the service sector of our business.  Will be heavily involved in project and meeting planning,and facilitating training curriculum throughout a designated area of responsibility.
* Vital role in managing key relationships within the Store Support Center in order to filter communication with the field service team regarding technical repair issues, bulletins or memos.
* Expected to balance administrative duties, satisfy existing internal and external customers and execute on various projects and initiatives that may fluctuate in complexity and team involvement.

* Will observe associates during sales and customer service interactions and provide feedback to management on successes and opportunities for improvement

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Must be comfortable in presenting technical expertise on varying levels-from store associates to company officers.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret retail business reports, professional and/or technical journals, time reports, operational reports, government regulations, merchandising reports, plan-o-gram instructions or technical procedures. 
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variable.

Experience and Credentials

* Must have 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
* 2 year college degree or technical program perferred
* Experience as a trainer is preferred but not required.
* Must have a valid Driver’s license and submit to a pre-employment drug screening.

Physical Demands

* Extensive standing, walking, pushing and reaching.
* Need full range of motion for reaching, bending and stooping.
* Repetitive movement of hands, arms, legs.
* May drive a vehicle if needed.
* Lifting of heavy equipment >100 pounds is required.
* May work outside and be exposed to weather.
* Exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt and dust.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
